Sales Director

Position Title: Sales Director
Location: Dubai, UAE
Job Responsibilities:
  • 5 years’ relevant experience in satellite/ telecommunications / broadcasting / broadband services in the Middle East
  • Aggressive, able to meet ambitious sales target
  • Strong understanding of the Middle Eastern/GCC region ; English & Arabic mother tongue

Reporting to the Managing Director – EMEA, this senior sales position is part of the EMEA team based in Dubai leading aggressive sales and business development initiatives with key role and responsibilities as follows:

  •  Manage an existing portfolio of customers in selected countries in the MENA area

  • Nourish and develop relationship with such existing customers, to attract new business opportunities in the short and the long term

  • Identify and target new customers in selected countries in MENA, notably in the UAE. Develop new direct relationships with key service providers in the region

  • Work closely and effectively with the technical sales and operations teams at ABS to ensure visibility and customer support

  • Lead negotiations professionally, meeting customers’ requirements and aligned with company operations and objectives

  • Achieve the sales quota including renewals and new sales; as part of the EMEA team, contribute to achieve the overall annual sales objectives

  • Participate and engage actively at events and conferences in the MENA area

  • Provide timely market and customer updates to the EMEA MD and to Sales Operations

  • Support management and operations of the ABS Dubai office

Requirements:
  • Advanced degree in engineering and/or business administration; ideal a combination of the two
  • Minimum experience of 5 years in sales/business development of satellite /telecommunications/broadcast/broadband services in the Middle East
  • Strong understanding of the Middle Eastern/GCC region and consolidated rolodex with relevant key players in the region
  • Ability to work under pressure, to meet ambitious annual sales targets with quarterly evaluations
  • Ability to interface with senior management at customers’ as well as to coordinate internally at ABS with technical and operational teams
  • Availability to travel extensively in the EMEA region
  • English and Arabic mother tongues; French and/or other languages a plus
