ABS appoints Arlene Kahng as General Counsel

Asia Broadcast Satellite (ABS) announced the appointment of Arlene Kahng as its General Counsel. Arlene will be responsible for all legal matters associated with developing and operating satellite-based businesses.

Prior to joining ABS, Arlene was the Associate General Counsel with Intelsat Corporation and for PanAmSat since 1997. During her tenure at PamAmSat, she was responsible for the company’s legal affairs from negotiation and management of the company’s customer contracts with major media and entertainment companies to compliance with communications laws.

Arlene also served nine years as an Assistant Legal Counsel at Hughes Communications, Inc., where she was involved for helping the company through a number of strategic transactions.

KShe earned her B.A at the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign and J.D degree at the Northwestern University.
