Agility Beyond Space and Levira partner to expand video distribution across Eurasia and neighbouring markets

A new service on ABS-2A pairs an established line-up of channels and coverage across 11 time zones with Levira’s European uplink and broadcast operations.

DUBAI and TALLINN, 10th September 2026

Agility Beyond Space and Levira have formed a strategic partnership to give broadcasters and content owners a single video distribution service on the ABS-2A satellite. Its Northern Ku-band beam is one of the largest in the world, covering 25 million square kilometres across 11 time zones — a sixth of the planet’s land mass — giving audiences across the whole footprint a reliable, scalable connection.

The partnership joins the complementary strengths of two established infrastructure providers. Agility Beyond Space brings satellite capacity, regional coverage and a working video ecosystem at the 75°E orbital position. Levira brings deep experience in video distribution, channel origination, content processing and managed broadcast operations.

One satellite that covers a vast geographic area

ABS-2A’s broad Northern Ku-band footprint reaches dispersed markets across Eastern Europe, Central Asia, the Caucasus and beyond from a single satellite. In a region spanning many countries, time zones and terrestrial environments, that simplicity counts. Broadcasters can simplify their setup instead of stitching together several satellites, uplink sites and country-by-country delivery arrangements.

A neighbourhood broadcasters already know

ABS-2A sits at 75°E to give video and direct-to-home services room to grow, and its Northern beam already carries many television services and channels. Broadcasters joining inherit a ready-made foundation: installed dishes, familiar operations and an audience that already tunes in across the region.

A European gateway into Eurasia and beyond

Levira completes the route with broadcast infrastructure and uplink capability in Estonia. Content from Europe and other international markets can be received, processed, managed and uplinked from Levira’s facilities for onward distribution over ABS-2A.

For European broadcasters and content owners, it’s a simple way in: a familiar service base at home, with direct access to a satellite built to serve the region.

One partner, end to end

The joint platform offers an integrated service covering content contribution, channel origination, encoding, multiplexing, uplink, satellite capacity and continuous operational support. Customers work with one coordinated distribution partner instead of managing multiple technical providers and separate regional arrangements.

For Agility Beyond Space, the partnership strengthens its position at 75°E, attracts new international and regional channels and adds value across the ABS-2A service. For Levira, it extends managed video services into one of the world’s largest and most geographically diverse broadcast markets.

What’s in it for end customers?

Broadcasters and content owners gain a clear, efficient way into these markets: European broadcast expertise, an established base of channels and viewers, and regional reach across one vast, reliable satellite footprint.

“With Levira, we can give broadcasters one clear path into Eurasia and its neighbouring markets — from studio to screen. It strengthens our position at 75°E and adds value for every channel we carry,” said Mark Rigolle, Chief Executive Officer, Agility Beyond Space.

Tiit Tammiste, Chief Executive Officer, Levira added: “This partnership lets us take everything Levira does well, managed, dependable video distribution, into one of the most technically demanding parts of the world to serve. Broadcasters get a single point of accountability from content processing through to uplink, and immediate access to an established audience on a proven satellite platform.”
