1 December 2021, Singapore – ABS, a leading satellite operator, has signed a renewal with FSM Telecommunications Corporation (FSMTC) to continue expansion of the existing networks and to connect additional FSM Chuuk outer islands to the internet.

In October 2021, ABS confirmed a new agreement with FSMTC to provide, people in the outer islands with further levels of broadband connectivity. E-learning, e-commerce and entertainment delivered via the internet have become essential to improving the quality of life for the people living in FSM and the outer islands.
