ABS-2 SATELLITE OVERVIEW
ABS-2 is a geostationary communications satellite (Space Systems/Loral FS 1300) that brings substantial capacity to the prime orbital location at 75°E, and serves across Europe, the Middle East, Africa, Asia, Russia and CIS regions, and Australia.
The satellite features six dedicated high-powered Ku-band beams for DTH services in the Eastern Hemisphere and offers multiple options for Ku-band connectivity. In addition, ABS-2 is equipped with industry-leading, high-powered C-band beams for connectivity requirements in Africa and Southeast Asia. The Ka-band beam targets the MENA region and offers cost-effective solutions for commercial and military applications.
